I have always had trouble with weak thin nails that nail polish never adheres to well and being a hairdresser makes this all worse!
I have tried acrylic nails but found them too much upkeep and the damage they do to your nails takes months to grow out! I have tried Shellac and OPI Gel polish but the process of soaking the polish off in acetone made my nails very weak.
Over the years of trialling, I have always gone back to Dr Lewinns Revitanail Nail Stregthener. The formula is fortified with calcium and is the only nail strengthener I have found to actively promote stonger nails, not just harden them with polish to prevent them from breaking.
- Superior nailcare treatment to harden and protect natural nails.
- Helps restore nails damaged from nail extensions.
- Eliminates peeling, flaking and chipping.
- Promotes stronger, longer and healthier looking nails.
- Fortified with Calcium.
You can do a program to help grow and strengthen your nails but I just use it as a top coat and base coat for my regular polish. To help prevent chipping and make the polish last longer, I will reapply a coat of Revitanail each day after painting my nails. This routine is the most effective way of keeping my polish from chipping too fast – if I don’t use it, it will start to peel off after just 24 hours!
Directions for program:
Apply 2 coats of Revitanail Nail Strengthener onto clean nails avoiding the cuticle area and then one coat daily for the next 5 days. On the 7th day remove with nail polish remover. Repeat the process 3 times. (Each program lasts for 25 days). Allow your nails to rest for 1-2 weeks between programs. Massage Revitanail Nourishing Oil into the cuticles after Nail Strengthener has dried each time you apply a new coat. Nourishing Oil is also recommended to be used during the 1-2 week rest period.
The range also has many other nail care products including the best hand and nail cream ever! Check out www.revitanail.com.au for stockists in Australia and New Zealand – unfortunatley it doesn’t look like it is available outside of Aus/NZ but you never know what you might find on google!
