The weather in Auckland is really starting to get quite chilly so last week I rearranged my wardrobe so all my wintery dresses were at the front. I’ve always loved the winter season but I will miss my pretty summery florals!
The start of my working week (I have Sunday/Monday off), I decided to go with this Bernie Dexter Dress which has 3/4 sleeves with a cardigan on top. The waist is too big on this dress as I must have lost weight since last winter, but the cardigan and belt helped to fix that
A weird day where I had no clients booked in so just relaxed at home until getting dressed up to meet friends for dinner. We went to a local Chinese restaurant and had French Crepes for dessert!
I was lucky enough to receive this dress from Bannou/I Love Vintage Shop a few months ago but back then it was too hot to wear. The fabric is a lovely thick blend of Tencel/Cotton/Spandex and has a level 2 out of 3 rating for sustainability – Something Bannou is very proud to take into consideration!
Because the hemline is shorter compared to what I am used to, I also needed to wait until it was cold enough to wear thick stockings! My, my, how scandalous for my knees to show! 😉
Because of the very 60’s shape of the dress, I went with a quick updo using a hair doughnut and side sweep. So easy!
A favourite! I can’t wait to get this dress in the new magenta colourway…. it should be arriving in just a few hours!
Such good memories with this outfit! I bought it at the Bettie Page Clothing store and wore it on Santa Monica Pier!

There was a gig on at a bar just 5 mins up the road featuring some local Rockabilly and Pscycobilly bands. Since we were walking there, I wanted to make sure I was going to be warm, so picked out this combo!
On Friday I had walked down to Rita Sue on my lunch break to pick up this dress! I used the vouchers I got in my Miss Pinup NZ Prizepack. I was never that excited about the Harlequin prints but this colourway really grew on me!
Sunday I didn’t get dressed up, we had a family lunch at my Aunty and Uncles and I like to make sure I give my skin a break at least one day of the week!
