Day Four
7 Days of Glamour Bunny continues today with The Harriet Dress! I’ve already talked about The Virginia, The Julie and the Secret Sadie Handbag and be sure to enter the competition on Facebook to win a Sadie Handbag of your own!
The Harriet Dress has a very 40s vibe to it and is part of the ‘Gerry Roxby’ Collection of Glamour Bunny. I’m wearing the Mauve version and it also comes in a gorgeous Navy Blue (currently sold out)
Featuring a stretch cotton skirt and attached satin top, the Harriet really stands out. One element of this that I really love is the baggy sleeves and cuffs!
The Harriet Dress is really comfortable and the stretch cotton allows for me to squeeze into the medium despite my hips being a large on the size chart. The sleeves are a perfect length of me but they could be a bit long for those shorter in stature. The cuffs however will help to make sure they don’t fall down so the extra length may not be noticeable.
The Mauve colour is really quite lovely. It’s not normally a colour I would go for (I’m usually attracted to more jewel tones) but this slightly more muted colour is stunning. I think that having the two different types of fabrics makes the dress stand out and the colour pop a bit more.
The Harriet is quite a modest dress with its long sleeves and only slight V neck. I think it would work well as a work dress depending on what you do but also be great for a dinner out. The satin top is not particularly warm for winter but it means you would still be able to wear it in spring or autumn.
I really like the subtle 40s diamond neckline, the 3 little buttons down the front and the ‘V’ shape under the bust. You can really see that the designer and owner Gerry has put a lot of thought into The Harriet. I also really like that she didn’t over-complicate it with a collar… it would have been a easy and obvious feature to add on but I like it collar-less.
All Glamour Bunny Dresses come in size XS-3XL including The Harriet. If your hip measurements exceed a size like mine, the stretch bengaline allows for sizing down. I would be wary of sizing down in the top though as the satin does not have any stretch.
The Glamour Bunny Harriet Dress retails for £96 but you can get 10% off your purchase with the code ‘GBLOYALTY’.
Pictured with it was the Secret Sadie Handbag- We are giving one of these away in the colour of your choice on Facebook, make sure you enter by Monday!
I hope you are enjoying 7 Days Of Glamour Bunny so far! There is still 3 days left, coming up tomorrow is a favourite of mine… The Brigitte Retro Dress!
