I recently reviewed my first Zoe Vine Dress, the Millie in Hibiscus and today’s feature is the Audrey Dress. With it’s soft green background and coral red parrot print, the Audrey Dress is perfect for summer.
The first thing that made me fall in love with this dress was the delicate softness of the fabric. It is unlike anything I own, a very thin rayon material that has such a beautiful weightless-ness to it whilst still feeling durable and well-made. The full skirt floats wonderfully but does mean that a petticoat is required if you desire volume.
I’m imagining this being a go-to dress on super hot summer days when you want to still look glamorous but keep cool at the same time.
The skirt of the Audrey Dress is quite long, definitely one of the longest in my wardrobe. It comes to about mid-calf on me and I am 168cm/5’5″ so for anyone shorter, you will probably need to have it taken up. Personally, I much prefer a skirt to be too long than too short as at least with excess length, you can do something about it!
The Audrey Dress features a classic high boat neck which as you can see comes right across in a strait line from the shoulders- there’s not much curve in the neckline at all so it’s very high. The lined bodice is fitted through the bust and waist which then flares out into a full swing skirt.
This dress comes with a matching self-tie belt and I really like how the middle section of the belt is stiffened so that it has structure to it and isn’t too flimsy.
Now if you look closely, you’ll see that amongst the flowers in this print, there are also parrots and butterflies! But if this colourway doesn’t tickle your fancy, the Audrey Dress also comes in a coral red/blue combo which is equally gorgeous.
Like the Millie Dress, I’m wearing a size 12/Medium (my bust measures 36″ and waist measures 27.5″) in the Audrey which is pretty spot on. The belt helps to cinch in the little bit of excess fabric around my waist.
The Audrey Dress is available in size 10-16 and is £80.
Thank you to Elizabeth J Photography for the beautifully bright set of photos. It was SUCH a windy day and the light fabric of the Audrey kept flying in all directions but we managed to find a few sheltered spots and some perfectly matching flowers. Thank you also to our friend Lavonny from Tock Tick Vintage who came along to hang out and help!
