The Cristofoli Emily Shoes from Shoe Fun

I have a little bit of a obsession with finding new shoe brands that are vintage inspired or work well with the style without being necessarily ‘vintage’. Usually what I’m looking for is shoes with a medium, chunkier heel than the modern day stilettos, little embellishments like bows or cut out details and of course, colour! Finding a brand that does colourful shoes always excites me, however I don’t like it when a shoe has too much of a mix of different colours as then I feel like it when limit the clothing I can wear with it.
Yeah, I know I’m picky!

During one of my recent shoe hunting expeditions on Google, I stumbled upon Shoe Fun in Western Australia and one of their brands Cristofoli. The Emily Shoe had caught my eye since I was specifically after a green heel and it seemed to tick all the boxes- medium chunky heel, tonal green accents with the bow and soft leather which would mean the comfort level would be high.

I went with my usual size EU39 and they fit perfectly. The round toe isn’t too slim or tight which is appreciated as my toes always susceptible to painful pointed toed shoes (years of standing all day probably doesn’t help!).
The heel height is 3″ which is definitely on the high end of a medium heel, there’s a small platform but not much and so for a busy day at work, I’ve found it necessary to bring along a pair of flats to change into after 5-6 hours.
To be fair though, I have been bring flats as a back up every day, no matter what my heel height as the heat of summer tends to make my feet get sore quickly.
These shoes do have a lightly padded footbed- Cristofoli really want comfort to be high with their shoes.

The Emily Heel has a very pretty scalloped edge detail that reminds me of saddle shoes. I was tossing up between this style and The Jade Heel which has more of the lighter green accent but I figured that since the Emily style has more of the darker green, I’d find it easier to pair it with outfits.

The Emily Heel is AU$229 from Shoe Fun and they also have the same style in a White, Pink, Black as well as lower heel and boot version.
Shoe Fun also stock lots of other brands including retro shoe companies Bettie Page, Miz Mooz, Lola Ramona and Irregular Choice. Their customer service is quick and helpful so don’t hesitate to get in touch with any questions.
