I’m super excited to be sharing another set today from my shoot with Tigz Rice at Mr Fogg’s Gin Parlour. This was my first shoot with Tigz and I’m hoping it won’t be the last as she’s such a talented photographer!
Featured today is another slinky wiggle dress by Stop Staring, this time the Billion Dollar Baby in Pink Pindot. In one of my previous Stop Staring posts, I talked about the importance of having a wiggle dress with stretch since I have such a large difference between my waist and my hips (15″+ to be exact!). This version is made of the same Millennium Stretch Fabric as the dress featured in that post and so it hugs my curves perfectly.
I’m wearing a size small which I can only really get away with in Stop Staring’s stretch styles- I’ve tried and owned a few non-stretch Stop Staring items over the years and a medium was definitely needed for my bust. For reference, I’m about 36-37″ in the bust depending on what bra I’m wearing, 27″ in the waist and 42″ at my hips although my widest part is actually the top of my thighs which measure more like 44″.
Despite my lower half technically needing a size XL according to the size chart, the fabric has such a great amount of stretch that there’s no problem getting into the Small. Sure, it’s rather tight but I’m able to walk and sit down easily. The only downside of sizing down so much is that it does mean that the dress becomes a little shorter than I’d ideally like. With anything stretchy, the more it’s pulled horizontally, the shorter the length becomes.
The Billion Dollar Baby Dress is a popular style by Stop Staring and they make it in a variety of colours and prints. This is a new style to be released in October and features a black background with pink pindots. The style of the dress itself is very classic, it has cap sleeves, a twist detail at the bust which really enhances your *ahem* girls and subtle gathering on the hip which isn’t as noticeable on a busy print like this.
Since the pindots are so tiny, they actually almost appear more red from afar- it’s only when you get up close that you can see that they are in fact a pink. So I accessorised with red accents and think it worked perfectly.
The Billion Dollar Baby Dress in Black with Pink Pindots will be released in October and will retail for US$155 AND be available up to a size 18. There’s plenty of gorgeous styles available on the Stop Staring website if you can’t wait that long including several beautiful colours in the Billion Dollar Baby Style.
