Tilly Pencil Dress in Black | THE PRETTY DRESS COMPANY

You’ve seen the Prom version, now it’s time to show the Tilly Off The Shoulder Bow Pencil Dress by The Pretty Dress Company some love!

While I am usually a swing dress girl, sometimes an occasion calls for a little more wiggle, a touch of sass and a whole lot of curves – which a The Tilly Pencil Dress certainly provides. The off-shoulder neckline with a figure hugging shape through the hips creates a beautiful silhouette, topped off with the eye catching bows on the shoulder.

I’ve never been one that has felt a desperate need to have a ‘LITTLE BLACK DRESS’ but I can certainly see the benefits after sashaying around in this one. The ease in which one could throw this on before a night out and glam it up with some accessories makes it very appealing. I also found it extremely comfortable which is always makes a dress much more likely to be reached for in moments of panic when nothing else seems to work!

I’m wearing a size 8 which is the same size that I also wore in the Tilly Prom Dress. I find the fit really good, despite my hips being technically a bit big for the size 8! But thankfully, there’s a lot of stretch in this fabric and because The Pretty Dress Company use amazing quality fabrics, it doesn’t look overstretched or loose it’s shape.

The Tilly is made from a viscose/nylon/elastane blend and what I love most about this dress is that I don’t get the dreaded ‘ride-up’ when I walk. One of my pet hates of wearing a tight dress, is when the fabric moves up as soon as you take a step and then dress ends up halfway up your thighs if you don’t do the awkward tug-down. Honestly, this is one of the biggest reasons I don’t wear them more often, but the Tilly does not have this problem – hallelujah!

The Tilly Pencil Dress in Black by The Pretty Dress Company comes in sizes 8-18, is £125 and also comes in a whole rainbow of other colours if black isn’t your thing!

Thank you so much to Tigz Rice for another set of beautiful images at Hotel Pigalle in Gothenburg… can we just take a moment to appreciate that glorious bed inside the Suite Belle? What interior decorating dreams are made of!
