It was really fun to get to visit the Tatyana Boutique when I was in Las Vegas in April! For my first few trips to Vegas, I loved getting to visit the stores in the Forum Shops and Planet Hollywood and I was super disappointed the year I realized they weren’t there anymore! But the location they are at now is so great – there’s lots of other vintage stores around and the shop itself is super spacious so there’s tons of stock, including a little true vintage corner!
One of the dresses I really loved the look of while visiting was the Peggy Dress from their Tailor & Twirl brand. It’s a classic true circle dress with spaghetti straps, adjustable straps, pockets and comes in a variety of colours including this gorgeous Fiesta shade.
The Peggy Dress is part of the Summer collection from Tatyana and since it’s now wintertime in New Zealand, Elizabeth J Photography and I waited until a nice sunny day to shoot and headed along to the Auckland Botanical Gardens.
I have always worn a huge variety of colours, but orange would be one of the least represented colours in my wardrobe. And I must admit, I did struggle initially to accessorize this burnt orangey red shade as a lot of my items in a similar shade just weren’t the right tone.
I decided to go with the simplicity of tan to keep it a little more neutral and let the colour speak for itself but you could also pair black or white with it, or opt for a contrast pop of colour like a turquoise.
I’m wearing a size S in this style and it fits me perfectly. I tend to be either a XS or a S in Tatyana depending on how much stretch there is in the item. Since this doesn’t have much stretch, the small was definitely the way to go. There’s a tiny bit of room in the waist as technically I could have used a XS for my waist, but it’s not too much.
Based off my experience with this dress and my measurements (bust 34″, waist 25″), I would say that the size chart is pretty accurate but any hesitations just get in touch with the team for advice!
The Peggy Dress is US$98, comes in size XS – 4XL and is available in several other colours including red, black and turquoise.
Thank you so much to Elizabeth J Photography for a stunning set of images – I’ve got two more fantastic Tatyana outfits to share over the next week or two so stay tuned!
