I’m back with another gorgeous dress from Tatyana’s summer collection! Since it is winter here in New Zealand right now, Elizabeth J Photography and I had to wait for a sunny winters day and head to the Botanical Gardens to get our summer vibe – it was so worth the chilly morning!
Last week I reviewed the Peggy Dress and today it’s the Joanie! The Joanie Dress is like a cross between the sophisticated glamour of Joan from Mad Men but with a fun flight attendant twist.
Made out of a super stretchy rayon/nylon/spandex blend with white details, the Joanie Dress has a lot of sass. I haven’t worked in a office since a few brief part time jobs while studying 10 years ago and I imagine dress code does vary office-to-office, but I think this would be such a fun outfit to wear. Of course, it would equally be perfect for a casual daytime activities or dressed up with a hat for slightly more sophisticated occasions.
In Tatyana, I am either a small or a XS depending on the amount of stretch. My measurements are 34-25-40 and since this dress is so stretchy, I am wearing a size XS. It seems a little crazy for me to say this, but I feel like the XS is actually slightly too big for me as it’s not super figure-hugging. So based on the measurements on the size chart and my experience with this dress, I would say that you can easily size down in the Joanie.
The Joanie Dress is available is sizes XS to 4XL and is $138 – but Tatyana currently have a big 30% off sale with the code 1776 at checkout.
Thank you as always to Elizabeth J Photography for creating such beautiful photos! Working with direct sunlight is always a bit of a nightmare but I absolutely love the results with those bright blue skies.

LOVE the ponytail and how sassy the whole look is together! The dress also looks fairly comfortable – a bonus!
